YESTERDAY WAS KIM Kardashian’s birthday, and her boyfriend and baby daddy Kanye West decided it was the perfect occasion to pop the question.
So how did he do it? Was it a private moment, savoured by the two of them in an intimate setting? No! Of course not! Instead, Kanye rented out a 44,000 seat baseball stadium in San Francisco and did it in front of all of their family and friends.
Apparently there were candles and fireworks as well as a 50-piece orchestra which played Young and Beautiful by Lana Del Rey (and of course one of Kanye’s songs). Oh and a 15 carat ring. Yeezy doesn’t do things by halves, y’see.
To give you an idea of what 15 carats looks like, here’s a picture of another diamond of the same size.
Holy moly.
The engagement itself is hardly a surprise, though. Kim told Cosmopolitan magazine earlier this year that marriage was on the cards:
[Marriage] is something I know that we both want in our future, but I don’t have this sense of urgency about it.
And since they got together, Kanye has been only delighted to tell people about how much he loves Kim.
So good for them! No details yet on the wedding itself, but undoubtedly it will be the biggest, fanciest wedding the world has ever seen.
