Kim Kardashian's bottom didn't 'break the internet' at all...

… but a piece of metal on a comet had a much better chance.

KIM KARDASHIAN’S BOTTOM had big plans earlier this week.

The celebrity bared a surprising amount in Paper magazine under the banner of “break the internet”

However, her rather large behind didn’t even come close to achieving that.

Instead, and many would say more deservingly, the historic landing of a robot on a comet had a better chance.

Analysis by the Wall Street Journal reveals that while #breaktheinternet garned 300 tweets per minute at its peak, #cometlanding received nearly 3,200 mentions per minute.

Throwing the two search terms in Topsy, looking at tweets per day, shows #cometlanding jumps massively, with #breaktheinternet paling in comparison.

There is hope after all.

While we’re at it, could Kim have actually broken the internet? Not really, according to BBC’s Newsbeat, unless her bottom somehow managed to destroy the ‘spider’s web’ of cables – some deep undersea – that make up the internet.

Sorry, Kim.
