EARLIER THIS YEAR, Kanye West released Famous – his first single from his latest album The Life of Pablo.
Not only did Famous have a very controversial celebrity-lookalike-filled video, it also included the lyric:
I think that me and Taylor might still have sex, I made that bitch famous.
At the time, Kanye said that Taylor gave the line her blessing
But Taylor denied that had ever happened, saying through a publicist at the time:
Kanye did not call for approval, but to ask Taylor to release his single ‘Famous’ on her Twitter account. She declined and cautioned him about releasing a song with such a strong misogynistic message. Taylor was never made aware of the actual lyric, ‘I made that bitch famous’.
But just a couple of hours ago, Kim Kardashian seemed to blow that story out of the water – by posting a video on Snapchat of Kanye apparently reading Taylor part of THAT exact lyric over the phone – and no caution was heard

Everyone seems to be saying that the crucial line in the exchange is when Taylor says:
I mean it’s like a compliment kind of. I really appreciate it. Like, the heads up is so nice!
And then she says she has no problem admitting that the call took place:
I think it would be great for me to be like, “look, he called me and told me about the line before it came out”. Like, joke’s on you guys, we’re fine. You guys wanna call this a feud, you wanna call this throwing shade. But right after the song comes out, I’m gonna be on a Grammy red carpet and they’re gonna ask me about it. And I’m gonna be like, he called me.
That confirmation never came, but the video that Kim posted never showed Kanye revealing the ”I made that bitch famous” line.
So:
Taylor has since posted her response – claiming that this is a “character assassination”
She titled her post:
That moment when Kanye West secretly records your phone call, then Kim posts it on the Internet.
Kim has since followed up with this simple message
Well now.
The year of the celebrity feuds just keeps getting shadier and shadier.
