Will one of these new RTÉ dramas be the next big thing?

The winners of the latest Storyland competition, which previously spawned Hardy Bucks, has been announced.

FROM A MAN in love with himself to some ‘good ol’ fashioned grave-robbing’, five new drama mini-series have been commissioned by RTÉ and the Irish Film Board in the latest round of Storyland.

The commissioning project looks to develop new TV series and harbour the talent of upcoming actors and actresses, both on and off screen. Many have moved on to bigger projects.

Hardy Bucks, originally a Storyland production, was launched as its own series and also a feature length film.

Rob Cawley and Gary Duggan went to write Amber, and actress Charlie Murphy went on to star as Síobhan in Love/Hate.

Republic of Telly presenter Kevin McGahern also has his roots in Storyland.

The project has returned after a year-long hiatus, and now with the involvement of the Irish Film Board, for its fifth season.

These five new series are below, and will be made into four six-minute episodes. Which will you be most likely to tune into?
