Lego being used to patch holes in walls around the world

Best building site ever.

WHAT BEGAN AS a one man art project has spread to a worldwide effort to bring a little Lego into the everyday world around us.

Jan Vormann is the mastermind behind the Dispatchwork project, which sees tiny, joyful patches of colourful Lego bricks incorporated into crumbling walls and other structures.

A manifesto for the project states:

Have you noticed that toys for kids are generally very shiny and colorful? I wonder why that is, given that they are to be brought up to live in mostly dull and gray cities as adults. Since I lived in many of such cities, I am seeking to improve the appearance of public spaces in different ways, in terms of what I consider improvement.

People all over the world have now started taking part in Dispatchwork…
