Gun maker to boycott Liam Neeson after his curse-filled anti-gun tirade
A US GUN manufacturer is looking to disarm Liam Neeson’s career because of comments he made about there being “too many f***ing guns out there.”
Gun manufacturer Para says it regrets providing guns for use in Neeson’s recent film Taken 3, and said it will not be arming future films starring the Antrim actor.
In the Taken franchise, Neeson plays an ex-CIA operative who regularly shoots his enemies, but in an interview with Gulf News he said he doesn’t think such movies are the reason for gun violence.
“There’s too many f***ing guns out there,” he said.
Para wasn’t happy with the comments from the Taken star, saying his views reflect “a cultural and factual ignorance that undermines support of the Second Amendment and American liberties”.
Not only has Para pledged never to supply weapons for a Liam Neeson film in the future, but they’re also encouraging their “friends and partners” in Hollywood to join in the boycott.
