This Limerick comedian's reimagining of a foul-mouthed Irish Peppa Pig is brilliant
FROM A DUNDALK version of Postman Pat to a heavily-accented Pingu – this nation has a grand tradition of taking children’s cartoons and turning them into very adult and very Irish situations.
One of the finest proponents of this for some time has been Limerick-based Facebook comedian Walshunit.
He reimagines Peppa Pig in Limerick
Today’s offering sees the lads out in their Halloween best from last night.
Sometimes there’s not even any need for a voiceover to make the gag
But the regular Peppa Pig videos feature some quality Limerick slang:
“Do all ye little gomies wanna go get some balloons”
YURT is there too, of course
David Walsh is the man behind the voices, and their viral success has seen him and his class voices feature on Spin South West recently.
The Peppa Pig scenarios range from an unsuccessful trip to the offie
All the way to drug deals
And they’re rapidly gaining popularity on Facebook since last year.
We’ll never look at Peppa Pig the same way again
Ya gomie.
