THE ONLY WAY we could possibly think to improve pizza, is if we could somehow get it into our system quicker–chewing is a barrier and, frankly, too much effort.
Well, here’s the answer to all our problems. To celebrate national pizza month (as if you needed an excuse), a new ‘pizza cocktail’ is literally creating a buzz among dough-lovers in LA.
Traditional Italian restaurant Trattoria Neapolis has crafted the liquid lunch using tomato water, porcini mushroom powder, muddle basil, topped with parmesean and mozzerella foam.
As for the alcohol, that comes in the form of basil vodka, and a second vodka infused with ghost peppers.
Yummy…
The cocktail is said to be the perfect accompaniment to a slice of pizza, with LA Weekly claiming it’s
a scarily accurate drink that tastes as if your slice jumped into a Vitamix (blender) with a bottle of vodka.
