1. When you’re paying a bill and the person behind the till says, “Do you have 20c by any chance?” and you do!

2. When you realise you can pay contactless. So glamorous.

3. When someone compliments your outfit and you’re like, “Thanks, Penneys!” and they seem genuinely shocked/impressed.

4. Being able to smugly whip out your umbrella when it starts to rain.

5. When you’re neither too hot nor too cold, because your clothes are completely weather appropriate.

6. When you arrive at the bus stop and your bus is only one minute away and you genuinely think you are a wizard.

7. When you take a sip of your tea and it’s the perfect temperature.

8. When other people say to you, “You get a lovely colour in the sun!” as if it’s some kind of God-given talent.

9. When you actually have your Dunnes Value Club Card/Boots Advantage Card/coffee shop loyalty card and you feel like a real-life adult.

10. When there’s a six-pack of Tayto in the cupboard that seems empty, but wait, what’s this? Another pack of crisps? BACK OF THE NET!

11. Finding a free table in a beer garden on a sunny day.

12. Discovering a forgotten Selection Box at Christmas.

13. When Eamon Dunphy says something controversial and the whole country is united in being like, “Ooh, what’s Eamon after saying now?”

14. In fact, any time there’s a bit of an argument on the RTÉ soccer panel.

15. When a child gets surprised by a celebrity on the Toy Show.

16. When someone makes a mistake on RTÉ News.

17. Actually being on time for something and getting to silently judge the other latecomers.
