You could be in Louis Walsh's next big act!

You’ll be joining the ranks of pop royalty!

THIS WEEKEND THE men and boys of Ireland have an opportunity.  An opportunity to join Louis Walsh on the good ship manufactured pop band to sail off into musical uncertainty.

Sounds appealing, doesn’t it?  Well it’s the truth.  This weekend Louis is looking for ‘five boys with strong vocals who are willing to work hard’ and he’ll be auditioning potentials this Sunday and Monday in The Button Factory in Dublin.

Registration opens at 11AM and the official process kicks off at 12, you must be male and between the ages of 16 and 25 to qualify.  We’re sure it will be a veritable hotbed of colouredy jeans and hair product.

It is a big opportunity though, in seriousness.  After all, Louis has played a part in all of these acts’ successes.

Samantha Mumba

She famously accosted him in Lillies with her mam and demanded he manage her.

Bellefire

Not the most successful of his acts, Bellefire were formed out of auditions Louis held for a boy-girl band.  Apparently he wasn’t impressed with the lads and decided to form a girl band instead.

Boyzone

Louis wanted an Irish Take That, and Boyzone were just the ticket.

Girls Aloud

Louis inherited Girls Aloud from Pop Stars: The Rivals.  They didn’t stay with him too long, but he helped them have a killer first single.

Westlife

Shane Filan’s mam asked Louis to come to one of his group IOYOU’s gigs, and when he did he saw something.  Simon Cowell told him three of them were too ugly for music, so the act was repackaged and renamed and the rest is history!

Jedward

Louis championed them right the way through the X Factor, and is still at the helm of Planet Jedward today.

Union J

The latest act to come of of X Factor for Louis, and their first single is damned catchy and their faces are damned cute so they’re sure to be a success.
