LAST NIGHT SAW a new ‘family’ joining the Gogglebox Ireland stable, and they’ve already endeared themselves to the public.
Michael, David and Gerry are childhood friends from the Cooley Peninsula in Co Louth – and though the three of them went their separate ways for college, they still make time to meet up once a week for a ‘Lads’ Night In’. Ah, lovely.
They settled in over the past week to watch Great British Bake Off, Nationwide, and The Sunday Game, and quickly proved why they were chosen.
They cracked people up with their observations
In particular, this takedown of a contestant on The Secret Life of the Ballroom:
I’d say he’s raging, he has all the muscles and he’s bald.
Their thoughts on Celebs Go Dating’s Calum Best
“Just be yourself Calum, an absolute massive knob.” I mean, are they wrong?
And their reactions to GBBO’s rather rude looking snail
Pretty rich from lads who had previously announced they could “barely make a sandwich”, never mind a loaf of bread. The cheek!
People were delighted to hear melodic Louth accent on the telly
There’s something about it alright.
And want them to meet another bunch of Gogglebox favourites
IT JUST MAKES SENSE. Make it happen, TV3.
Good start, Louth lads! We’ll see ye next week…
