MATTHEW MCCONAUGHEY IS hard at work promoting his new movie Gold.
The actor appeared on Today FM’s Dermot and Dave show yesterday morning to chat about the film, and his love for Ireland.
The only problem was, he couldn’t physically be in the studio, so a blow up doll had to be a substitute
He spoke about his mam’s exceptionally Irish name, Kay McCabe, and how he was called a ‘bloody yank’ in Dublin for thinking Whiskey in the Jar was a Metallica song.
He even shared his favourite Irishism he heard in the pubs:
Hey you there, you with the hair on.
But the icing on the cake was when he said his famous alright, alright, alright phrase as Gaeilge.
