Irish X Factor hopeful Melanie McCabe eliminated for a fourth time
DUBLIN GIRL MELANIE McCabe has failed to make it through to the live final of The X Factor for the fourth time.
The 20-year-old has been auditioning since she was in her early teens, and had made it through to bootcamp twice before.
She performed for Kelly Rowland during the judges’ houses final stage in 2011, but was not chosen to progress to the live final.

… and this bootcamp performance that secured her place in Antigua…
This evening McCabe performed the Snow Patrol song Run (as performed by previous winner Leona Lewis).
She spoke of her family’s financial problems and said:
However Blige said she needed “something more” from the Irish girl, while Nicole Scherzinger told McCabe that she felt like there was a lot of work left to be done.
McCabe’s only hope now is that she’ll be chosen as a wild card entry.
