TRANSFORMERS DIRECTOR MICHAEL Bay is used to special effects making his projects look the business, so when he was faced with nothing but a teleprompter and a live audience it was a recipe for disaster.
Bay was at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, helping Samsung to promote its new curved TV when a teleprompter fail made him turn on his heel and leg it off the stage.
Watch it here, if you dare:
Bay has posted an explanation to his personal blog, explaining that live shows just aren’t his thing:
Wow! I just embarrassed myself at CES – I was about to speak for Samsung for this awesome Curved 105-inch UHD TV. I rarely lend my name to any products, but this one is just stellar.
I got so excited to talk, that I skipped over the Exec VP’s intro line and then the teleprompter got lost. Then the prompter went up and down – then I walked off.
Now, can we get you some ointment for that pulled cringe muscle?
