THIS WEEK, ONE of the most viral images across the internet was Finnish President Sauli Niinistö and his smiling dog Lennu.

Look at them there – Lennu staring out the camera with a big grin on his face:

But two political dogs that have never gone anywhere near as viral live in Áras an Uachtaráin – Michael D’s two Bernese Mountain dogs named Bród and Shadow.
