First clip from Abrahamson's Frank features Fassbender as you've never seen him before
A YEAR AGO we saw the first pictures from the set of Irish director Lenny Abrahamson’s new film Frank.
The film stars Michael Fassbender as the titular character, based on the real life musician and comedian Frank Sidebottom.
Sidebottom (real name Chris Sievey) hid his face inside a giant papier mache head. Jon Ronson played alongside Sidebottom in his band, and has co-written the film with Abrahamson.
Domhnall Gleeson plays the part of Jon, alongside Fassbender and Maggie Gyllenhaal.
The movie is premiering at the Sundance Film Festival tonight, and an extended clip has been released ahead of the screening.
Abrahamson and Gyllenhaal will be at the premiere in Utah, while a spokesperson for Element Pictures has told DailyEdge.ie that Fassbender and Gleeson will not be in attendance.
