IF YOU’VE EVER dreamed of being Miss Ireland, this could be your chance, you lucky things.
Ryan Tubridy and 2FM are holding a ‘Miss Personality’ contest, the winner of which will go forward to take part in Miss Ireland.
Miss Personality will focus on… you guessed it, the ladies’ personality.
It doesn’t matter what you look like.
But, hang on, when the winner gets through to the Miss Ireland finals…
…the contestants wear swimwear during the closed door judging on during the day section. This is one catwalk, in front of the selected judges. The girls appear in groups of five at this time.
And wait, there’s more:
On the night of the final, there is a ‘Beach’ section which is usually themed (last year it was Tropical) the girls are given complete choice on this. No one wears anything that they do not themselves select. Last year some of the girls wore kaftans or sarongs- so basically, if someone wants to cover up, they absolutely can.
Let’s just say the response has been, er, mixed…
