BIG DRAMA IN Kerry this week.
Local newspaper Kerry’s Eye have outdone themselves with this news story and headline combo in this week’s edition
The story is about rescue crews in Ballybunion who executed a huge operation to find a man on Monday, but eventually found him sitting in a local pub.
He had previously asked a taxi man how to get to the cliffs, and given the terrible weather conditions, the taxi man reported the comment to authorities.
Ballybunion Rescue even posted the eventful first call out of 2017 to Facebook, and thanked the taxi man for his concern.
The taxi driver had become concerned and made the right decision to make the call as he felt the man’s line of conversation warranted some form of professional intervention and we commend him for his actions. The call was recorded as a false alarm with good intent.
Only in Ireland, eh?
