Monkman, the lad with no inside voice, was the hero of tonight's University Challenge
EVERY EPISODE OF University Challenge needs a hero and tonight’s was a young Canadian man named Eric Monkman of Wolfson Cambridge.
Monkman got off to a flying start with his exuberant introduction…
And he didn’t disappoint, delivering each and every answer with his signature vigour

Many viewers noticed a slight similarity between Monkman and Corrie’s Roy Cropper.
