IN HONOUR OF Throwback Thursday, Spotify has analysed more than 80,000 playlists to determine what songs make us the most nostalgic.
The streaming service looked at playlists with the words “throwback” in the title and compiled a list of the songs that appeared the most often in such playlists.
And here are the tunes that make us pine for our youth the most…
1. R. Kelly – Ignition (Remix)
Yes, the most nostalgic song out there is none other than Ignition, a bona fide banger and a song that continues to raise a lot of questions — what exactly is like Murder, She Wrote?
2. Usher – Yeah! (feat. Ludacris and Lil Jon)
PEACE UP, A-TOWN.
3. Beyoncé – Crazy in Love (feat. Jay-Z)
People literally fight each other to get to the dancefloor whenever Queen Bey’s debut single comes on in the club, so this makes a lot of sense.
Bow down.
4. Shaggy – It Wasn’t Me
Fifteen years since it was first released, It Wasn’t Me is both a classic song and an excuse employed by guilty people all over the world.
Be honest: you’ve drunkenly tried to sing Shaggy’s part and failed miserably.
5. Gwen Stefani – Hollaback Girl
B-A-N-A-N-A-S.
6. Ciara – 1,2 Step
It peaked at number 3 on the Irish charts in 2004… but the Ciara tune continues to live on in our hearts.

7. Spice Girls – Wannabe
Otherwise known as the International Gals Anthem.
8. Jesse McCartney – Beautiful Soul
Beautiful Soul never quite made it here in Ireland so we’re just going to pretend that this is Lose Yourself by Eminem.
That’s more like it.
9. Shakira – Hips Don’t Lie
What you think you look like dancing to Hips Don’t Lie:
What you actually look like:
10. Lil Jon & The Eastside Boyz – Get Low
TO THE WINDOW, TO THE WALL.
