The BBC has axed Never Mind the Buzzcocks after 18 years on TV

AFTER 28 SEASONS, the BBC has pulled the plug on its ‘irreverent pop quiz’, Never Mind the Buzzcocks.
Reaction to the decision has been varied, with some fans in shock that the broadcasting giant would axe the show, and others feeling it had been below par in recent years.

The Guardian reports that the BBC2 controller, Kim Shillinglaw, made the decision not to recommission the show, which was made by Talkback.
The most recent host of the show was comedian Rhod Gilbert, but previous hosts included Simon Amstell and Mark Lamarr.
The most recent team captains were Noel Fielding and Phill Jupitus.
The show first aired in 1996, going on to have 260 episodes in total.
