Nicki Minaj was 'hurt' by Cardi B's refusal to downplay rumours about a feud between them

Can’t we all just get along?

SHE’S BACK BARBZ.

Nicki Minaj debuted two new songs last night, Barbie Tingz and Chung Li on Beats 1 with Zane Lowe last night, ahead of her new album.

She also denied beefing with new kid on the block Cardi B, despite ongoing rumours. The pair collaborated on last year’s Migos single ‘Motorsport’.

However, she did say she was “hurt” by Cardi’s failure to discourage the rumours.

When I first came in the game, if a female of [my] stature had done a feature with me on it, I would only be singing their praises and saying thank you.
“She’s just gone full steam ahead and congratulations to her. The first interview [Cardi] did after ‘MotorSport’ came out, it just really hurt me, because she looked so aggravated and angry, and the only thing she kept saying was, ‘I didn’t hear that, she changed her verse.’”

Due to a scheduling conflict, Nicki did not film the video for Motorsport with Migos and Cardi, further adding to speculation about their relationship. Nicki said Migos also contributed to the ongoing rumours by not backing up her testimony in interviews.

When it was time to clear the air about that, no one did that. All of them allowed me to look like I lied.”
I texted [Migos member] Quavo and I said, ‘Can you back me up on this? Cause I don’t want people to think I’m lying’ and he didn’t back me up. He texted me back like ‘I would go on Twitter and back you up if you were my girl lol’ and that hurt because I love him.”
