THE FIRST FRIDAY night recoupling took place on Love Island last night, and it’s safe to say that nobody is happy with the result. Except Adam, perhaps.
It was definitely the most dramatic episode of this series, and there are obviously some serious spoilers ahead. Turn back now if you plan on catching up.
In less than an hour’s worth of television, Adam gave up completely on Kendall and told her he was finished with her. While he was walking away from her, Rosie happened to be passing by and he said “Oh, good timing”, before sitting down and wearing the face off her.
It’s safe to say that Adam and Rosie are officially the villains of the Love Island house.
So, after this, Eyal, who is growing even more weary of the fact that Hayley doesn’t know his name despite the fact that they’ve been a couple for a week, decides to be the one to break the news to Kendall and comfort her about the fact that Adam’s a massive snake.
Aw. Perfect. Both of their problems are solved. Kendall can remain on the show and Eyal can get with a girl who knows what his name is and doesn’t just call him ‘Eel’ or ‘Eeyore’, and save himself the embarrassment of choosing Hayley at the recoupling.
Do we really think she’d save him if the tables were turned?
But no. Things were not that simple.
The recoupling went as expected at the beginning. Jack and Danni, Wes and Laura, Alex and Samira (he made a really lovely heartfelt speech about Samira and why she deserves to stay on the show even though they’re not going to end up in a relationship). Then things got more complicated.

Niall chose Georgia. Eyal chose Hayley. Then Adam’s true colours were shown, yet again, when he chose Rosie, sending Kendall home. So much for all of that “I really like you” shite.
To put it lightly, people on Twitter were fuming.
And when Georgia tried to cheer…
There are no words.
