Singing nun wins The Voice of Italy, says the Our Father on stage

A young Italian nun called Sister Cristina Scuccia has won Italy’s talent show The Voice after wowing the judges from the get go.
The 25-year-old, who has performed wearing her habit and a crucifix throughout the show, has wowed the judges with renditions of Girls Just Wanna Have Fun and Livin’ on a Prayer.
Her audition tape of Alicia Keyes’ No One has over 50 million hits on YouTube.

The BBC reports that Sister Cristina has said that she’s following Pope Francis’ calls for a church that’s closer to ordinary people.
