No, we’re not talking about Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfried, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, who went on to take over the world. What about the others? You know, the ones you loved even more than them when you originally watched the movie and now struggle to remember their names?

Lizzy Caplan (Janis Ian)

She played non-conformist goth girl Janis in the movie, the one with the sharp tongue who wanted to take ‘the plastics’ down.

And while she mightn’t be exactly a household name these days she has starred in lots of things that you’ll have heard of, like the movie Cloverfield and the vampire TV series True Blood. She also featured in American Dad! and New Girl. Top of the class Lizzy!

Lacey Chabert (Gretchen Weiners)

Remember Gretchen like? She said things like: “We should totally just stab Caesar”. But what else has the actress who played her done since 2004?

Well, she voiced the Bratz character Kacee and she’s starred in Ghost Whisperer. She also popped up in the TV shows Family Guy, The Spectacular Spider-Man and Transformers: Rescue Bots. We’d probably call her stint as Gretchen a career highlight then.

Daniel Franzese (Damian)

Everyone wanted a friend like Damian after watching Mean Girls. He had great lines like “That’s why her hair is so big… It’s full of secrets”.

But it seems the casting agents weren’t queueing up with major projects afterwards. He’s starred in CSI and I Spit On Your Grave, as well as the amazingly titled short Shit Italian Moms Say. Apparently he has also curated numerous art exhibitions in Los Angeles.

Jonathan Bennett (Aaron Samuels)

Remember the hunk of the high school, the one Cady and Regina both fancied? Well, his career took him from The Bill to All My Children before he landed the part of Aaron Samuels. Later you might have spotted him making an appearance in that classic movie Cheaper By The Dozen 2 or joining the Duke clan in The Dukes of Hazard: The Beginning.

He’s also set to appear in an episode of TV drama The Glades, where he’ll take on the role of lab technician Daniel Green’s brother. We’re sure we can’t wait!
