THE UNDOUBTED LOVE story of last night’s First Dates was Paul from Cork and Katie from Dublin.
Look at them there:
They had an adorably half-awkward first conversation at the bar:
Both Paul and Katie had stories of estranged parents, and they really started opening up at the table together.
And he also sang reggae, because why not.
They kept cutting to both of them singing the praises of each other – so there was high hopes of a match:
“He’s a real guy – and that’s what I wanted. Someone who’s definitely himself.”
“I reckon she’s a 10 out of 10. She’s lovely, she’s chatty. She’s nearly perfect if there’s such a thing.”
Right at the end, they asked Paul if he’d like to see her again:
Ara I would. Jesus, definitely.
While Katie had her own solo interview, and was loving Paul:
He’s a genuinely sweet, chivalrous, romantic guy who’s lovely
So finally we got them in the joint interview, and they were giggling away
And when they asked were they going to see each other again, the answer was already decided upon by both:
We’re going to go for a drink after this, so…
She’s going to show him around Dublin, and he’s going to show her around Cork
Lads.
People at home were in love
Like, this was real romance
We predict big things for them
Lovely.
