Penneys are selling 90s-inspired rip off tracksuit bottoms for €5 to make you feel ancient

BACK IN THE 1990s, rip off tracksuit bottoms were the height of cool in Ireland.

They were a nuisance, yes – who remembers having to constantly reattach them? – but they were so trendy and versatile that it didn’t even matter.

Following in the footsteps of chokers and scrunchies, rip-off tracksuit bottoms are the latest 1990s trend to make a comeback.

So much so that Penneys are even selling their own.

Blogger Penneys Hun shared an image of rip-off tracksuit bottoms spotted in Penneys.

“So most of you will remember the Adidas rip off button up trackies that were a serious trend back in the day,” she wrote. “Well Penneys have just come up with their own ‘fancier’ pair and it’s giving me a serious blast from the past.”

The white trackies cost €5 and are proof that everything, even rip-off trackies, come back into style.

If they’re good enough for Kim Kardshian…
