IN AN IDEAL world, you would always be able to sit down for a full pizza and enjoy it at your leisure.
But this isn’t an ideal world, and full pizzas are the least convenient thing ever. But luckily we have pizza slices by themselves – and some delish places in Dublin that sell them:
6. Sbarro
Strictly for when you’re famished and wandering around Jervis Shopping Centre and in need of a quick pizza fix. If you have other options, use them.
5. Ray’s Pizza
When the pubs are closed and the walk to DiFontaine’s is just that little too far – Ray’s is your best bet. Solid, consistent and always there for you.
4. Pa Pa Pizzeria
This little place on Talbot Street displays their huge fresh pizzas in the window, so you can have an eyeful before you even head inside. Great value, too.
3. Base WFP
Better known for their quality full pizzas at various locations around Dublin, they’ve still been known to get on the slice bandwagon. Delish.
2. Steps of Rome
Bang in the centre of town, Steps of Rome offer their famous square (well, rectangular) slices during the day – and in terms of pure quality there is nothing finer. They just miss out on top spot to…
1. DiFontaine’s
The best.
It’s the closest Dublin has to a classic late night NYC pizza joint. Their slices are huge, you get them quick and it’s open seriously late into the night – and not forgetting that they are pure pizza filth, and exactly what you need at the end of a night.
LOOK.
A deserved winner.
