ASK ANY WOMAN and she’ll tell you: Finding a good pair of jeans is a job and a half.
Irish model and stylish lady Pippa O’Connor has been trying to solve this dilemma since the launch of her range, POCO by Pippa, in November – and next month, she’s opening a pop-up shop in Dublin’s Dundrum Town Centre.
Could Pippa be the solution to all your denim problems? Let’s see.
Show us these jeans.
There are five styles currently available (including a maternity pair), from your every day skinnies and boyfriends:
To ‘going out’ jeans:
The size range is 6-16 at the moment, which isn’t as inclusive as it could be – but there are short, long, and regular leg sizes, which should please the tallies and shorties among us.
What price are we talking?
The jeans range from €85 to €110 – a little more on the expensive side, but Pippa defended the cost to Evoke.ie, saying she wanted to make the jeans ethically. Fair play.
She says her husband Brian Ormond regularly visited the manufacturers in Turkey, and she plans to go over herself this year now she is no longer pregnant.
What’s the verdict?
From what we can see from the #pocobypippa hashtag, customers deem the quality and fit to be worth the price.
The Slimmer seems to be a favourite – they claim to “pull you in and perk you up in all the right places” and by all accounts, they’re comfortable too.
The Leather Look is also a popular choice for gals in search of something fancier for a night out:
So what’s the story with the pop up shop?
If you prefer trying on before parting with your hard-earned, the pop-up will be open in Dundrum for six weeks from March 10.
New styles (the Tummy Tuck and the All Star) will be added during the run, and according to RSVP Magazine Pippa herself will host ‘style clinics’ for shoppers. So if you’re in a denim fix and don’t mind splashing the cash, this could be the place to go.
