TO MARK WORLD Poetry Day, some select Dublin cafes will take a poem for payment for this morning’s coffee.
The initiative was started by Julius Meinl, and was brought to Dublin when poet Kerrie O’Brien and Lovin Dublin put out a call to the city’s cafes to accept a written or spoken poem in exchange for a cup of joe.
Participating cafes include Clement and Pekoe, Kaph, Nick’s Coffee Co, BB’s, Books Upstairs, and Two Pups Coffee.
Here’s the full list of participants, so get ready to flex those poetic muscles. Or else, just dig out Soundings.
