The Irish landmarks on Pokémon Go are hilariously grim

Pokémon love pubs, it seems.

THE POKÉMON GO app has pretty much taken over the world. Except us.

No, the game hasn’t been officially released in Ireland yet, but still, where there’s a will there’s a way.

If you haven’t heard of Pokémon Go yet, it’s a new augmented reality app that basically lets you catch Pokémon in the world around you, all through your phone.

Some crafty Android users have been able to download it in Ireland, and it’s already becoming an obsession

The streets of Dublin have been taken over

Perhaps the funniest part of it all, is how damn random Pokestops have become

Pokestops are places you have to go to to collect items such as eggs and more Poke Balls to capture more Pokemon.

Yes, you actually have to physically go there

The landmarks chosen are throwing up some gems.

Get a pint with your Pokéballs?

Pokémon themselves have been popping up all over the country…

They’re in our colleges

Our cities

Our transport systems

Our public toilets

THEY’RE EVERYWHERE.

Just spare a thought for those who live in the depths of the country
