Remember when Ricky Gervais was the funniest man in the world?
RICKY GERVAIS IS turning 52 today and we’re sure he’s doing something hilarious to celebrate.
Since his success co-writing, co-directing and starring in the The Office he’s gone on to make it big in Hollywood and is still a big comedy star.
Having said that it’s easy to forget how groundbreaking Gervais was when The Office debuted and the hype around the show at it’s peak.
At the time he was undoubtedly the biggest comedian in the world and these kind of classic moments from The Office are a good reminder of that.
His attempt at mixing Tina Turner with motivational speaking is a classic example of how he mastered a certain kind of cringe comedy:

The still amazing dance scene hasn’t aged a bit:

And his always amazing guitar playing is still comedy gold:

In fact, David Brent has made a return in a new series of YouTube videos showing off his guitar skills:

Still, we can’t deny Gervais has done plenty of other funny stuff so we hope today on his birthday, he gets to have a laugh.
Mind you we hope it doesn’t come across as creepy as this:
