ROBERT DOWNEY JR is on the road for the Avengers: Age of Ultron press tour, and he’s not been having an easy ride.

An interview with Channel 4 journalist Krishnan Guru-Murthy went bust after Guru-Murthy tried to change the subject from the movie to the actor’s past (Downey Jr struggled with drug addiction in the 90s and early 2000s).

Guru-Murthy: The reason I’m asking you about the past is that you’ve talked in other interviews about your relationship with your father and all of that in the dark periods you went into, you know, taking drugs and drinking and all of that. I just wondered whether you think you’re free of all of that…

Downey Jr: I’m sorry, what are we doing? Bye.

And with that, he walked out of the interview.

The clip promptly went viral, and it seems Downey Jr was a lot angrier than he appeared.

Yesterday, posted a picture of himself hugging US journalist Diane Sawyer on Instagram with a seriously shady caption:
