KENSINGTON PALACE HAS confirmed that Duchess of Cambrige Kate Middleton gave birth to a baby girl at 8.34am this morning.

The baby weighed 8lbs 30z and a name is expected to be announced “in due course”.

The news sent people legging it to Twitter in order to get in there first.
