RTÉ One had a repetitive, 'infuriating' meltdown... and there's already a remix

Irish Ukrainians, not Russians. Irish Ukrainians, not Russians. Irish Ukrainians, not Russians. Irish Ukrainians, not Russians.

IF YOU TUNED into RTÉ One television, you might have noticed something a little repetitive going on.

While RTÉ’s Prime Time should have been playing, viewers were treated to a loop of “Irish Ukrainians, not Russians” for around twenty minutes.

However, Managing Director, RTÉ News and Current Affairs Kevin Bakhurst explained that technicians had been working to be fix the problem but were unable to rectify it for some time.

Presenter David McCullagh quickly distanced himself from the loop:

Mark Moloney was quick off the mark and has already released a remix of the incident.

Soon to be followed by Captain A & The Commercial Monsters’s minimalist remix:

And, of course, #irishukrainiansnotrussians soon built up steam, as well as #rtept, Irish Ukrainians, #primetime, and Russians, all trending in Ireland.
