IRELAND IS CURRENTLY experiencing a heatwave* (read: it’s 15 degrees and people don’t know what to do with themselves) and people all over the country are pondering deep questions like, “Is it warm enough for an ice-cream?” and “Jesus, will we go mad and get a Cornetto?”
So what better time to open an ice-cream pop-up?
Scrumdiddly’s, the beloved Dún Laoghaire ice-cream parlour, has just opened a pop-up shop in Arnotts on Henry Street.
Scrumdiddly’s has become a local favourite thanks to their decadent desserts and insane array of toppings.
Feast your eyes on this Scumfiterole and Melting Snowman
…stuffed with chunks of freshly made warm waffle…
Or this Sweeheart Sundae
Layers of melted Cadbury, real dairy ice cream, melted Ferrero, fresh strawberries, fresh cream, melted Kinder Bueno and a hot double chocolate chip muffin served in your very own pink champagne glass.
Oh Mama.
Or this lemon meringue creation.
Perfect for this temperate weather we’re having.
If the queues in Dún Laoghaire are anything to go by, we think it’ll be a roaring success.
Race you!
