Shia LaBeouf arrested during Broadway show of Cabaret
SHIA LABEOUF WAS arrested last night during a Broadway performance of the classic Weimar-Germany musical Cabaret.
The actor had to be escorted from the Studio 54 theatre during the show’s interval for being disorderly and causing a disruption, the theatre said.
A spokesman for the show said LaBeouf was “disruptive during Act 1″.
The 28-year-old former star of the “Transformers” franchise was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct and criminal trespass. He’s in police custody and can’t be reached for comment. A message seeking comment from a representative for him hasn’t been returned.
Police are continuing to investigate what happened.
LaBeouf has been at the centre of a string of eccentric incidents in recent months, including walking the red carpet with a bag over his head. He was also forced to apologise late last year after using a cartoonist’s work without credit for a short film.
