THIS WEEK SOUTH Park missed its schedule for the first time in 13 years, because of a power cut.
Every week Trey Parker and Matt Stone work until the last minute producing an animated episode for Comedy Central in the US, delivering it at the last minute to ensure it stays topical.
This week however a power cut meant that all of the computers used by the South Park team were out of action for hours, meaning no new episode.
A repeat of ‘Scott Tenorman Must Die’ was shown last night instead, and the show was livetweeted from the official South Park account to make up for the missed episode ‘Goth Kids 3: Dawn of the Posers’.
South Park co-creator Trey Parker said he regrets missing an air date but acknowledged that after years of tempting fate by delivering the show on a last-minute basis:
I guess it was bound to happen.
The Goth Kids episode will now air next week.
