This guy called out America's Spelling Bee on Twitter and it went horribly wrong

Oh the irony.

LAST NIGHT, AMERICA’S annual Spelling Bee competition took place in Washington DC – where the cream of the spelling crop do battle on national telly.

It turned out that two kids couldn’t be separated, and both were declared the champions for 2016.

But when this guy on Twitter called out the Spelling Bee for having a “comfort couch” it did not go well

A brutal riposte

So much so that the poor lad deleted his account in shame

While his mistake was taking over the internet, the championship motored on – and there was some gas mind games going on between the two finalists

Cold blooded.

And half the contestants had the signature dab celebration down

Madness.

The two winners eventually both spelled “feldenkrais” and “gesellschaft” correctly to share the win.

But the 2016 Spelling Bee will always be remembered for a much easier word gone wrong – loose.
