Spotify has resorted to making some needy playlists about Taylor Swift

Just like your teenage ex-boyfriend.

AS YOU MAY have heard, Taylor Swift has pulled her full discography from music streaming service Spotify. The news has devastated many Swifties.

But it’s not just Taylor Swift fans who are expressing their disappointment. Spotify has also jumped in on the act, tweeting several pleas to Swift asking her to reconsider.

(The #justsayyes hashtag is, of course, inspired by Taylor Swift’s Love Story.)

Spotify’s pleas aren’t contained to Twitter, however. They have also created two slightly creepy playlists called “What To Play While Taylor’s Away” and the even more explicit “Come Back, Taylor!”

Look at the message contained within the latter’s tracklisting.

Yes, Spotify is basically the John Cusack of music streaming services now.

Swift’s decision to remove her music seems to stem from the fact that artists are paid a paltry $0.007 per stream on Spotify, whereas she can make a whole lot more bank if she keeps her music on iTunes.

1989, the singer’s fifth album, is expected to sell 1.3 million in the United States this week and will debut atop the Billboard Top 200.
