IF YOU’RE INTO cooking, you may have noticed that sriracha has gained itself quite the cult following in foodie circles. But what is it?
Sriracha (prounounced ‘see-rah-jah’) is a sweet and tangy Thai sauce made with chillies and garlic, and it is hot hot hot.
It’s available in most Asian supermarkets, and Tesco has recently started selling its own version.
But what can you do with it? Well, everything.
It can liven up breakfast
Why save the spice for dinner? Put a bit of Sriracha on your weekend avocado and eggs and LIVE A LITTLE.
It’s excellent paired with ketchup
Mix it up and have it with your chipper. Delicious. (Unfortunately Heinz’ pre-mixed option isn’t available in Ireland yet.)
