This terminally ill fan was shown the new Star Wars movie early thanks to a wonderful campaign

DANIEL FLEETWOOD HAS been a lifelong Star Wars superfan.
In July this year though, he was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer and given just two months to live. He then realised that he might not be around for the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens this December – so a campaign began to get the studio to let him see the film early.
The #ForceforDaniel hashtag began to get a lot of traction on Twitter in the last couple of weeks, as celebrities and fellow Star Wars fans got together to deliver Daniel’s final wish.
And last night, it turned out that the campaign had been successful – as Daniel’s girlfriend posted the success story to Facebook:
Disney, Lucasfilm and director JJ Abrams had delivered a magical experience for Daniel and his family in the most difficult of times.
Star Wars’ leading man was only delighted to see this happy ending
