STAR WARS CREWS along the Wild Atlantic Way must be praising the heavens for the good weather as crews work hard to finish the sets in time for filming.
At Malin Head in Donegal, a structure looking very Millennium Falcon-esque has appeared, with locals reporting increased traffic and movement around the area.
Photographer Gavin Kelly told DailyEdge.ie that he snapped this image yesterday evening, travelling from Tyrone for a look at the set.

The proprietors of the Ardmalin Caravan Park have also had a fairly decent view of activity at Malin Head, although Ali Farren from the park told DailyEdge.ie that it’s tricky enough to catch a glimpse:
The place is on lockdown. The roads are blocked and all of Malin Head is locked down. The locals have passes but nobody else can get close.
Filming in Donegal is expected to take place this weekend, with increased road closures and security measures in place for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Farren says you’ve “never seen the number of gawkers” who’ve arrived in the area, hoping for a glimpse.
At the moment this is a local story though, an Irish story. Just wait until this film comes out in December 2017 and the world sees what we’ve got here.
‘Jedi Temple’ sets have also been constructed at Ceann Sibéal in Kerry. Radio Kerry reports that there will be two filming locations in total in Kerry, at Ceann Sibéal and at Dún Chaoin. Kerry filming is expected to get underway later this month.

A third location at Brow Head near Crookhaven in West Cork has been the quietest in terms of reported set activity.
