Here is what Twitter made of the new Star Wars trailer

The internet has a lot of thoughts regarding lightsabers.

THIS AFTERNOON, THE highly-anticipated teaser trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens dropped and sent the internet into a veritable frenzy.

It featured a baby droid, a fancy new lightsaber and possible sightings of Skellig Michael.

So, what did Twitter have to say?

People were anxious before it was even released.

Some people were grateful to have something to joke about.

Some people were concerned about the lack of Lupita Nyong’o.

While others were like, “That better be not Lupita.”

People had a lot of thoughts about the design and practical use of the lightsaber

Comparisons were drawn between Star Wars and Pineapple Express

Someone predicted this plot twist

There were rolling droid GIFs.

In fact, everyone loved the lil’ rolling droid.

Some eagle-eyed viewers noticed this. #DreamCameo

Irish viewers only had one question on their lips, though.

(Doesn’t seem like it. Ah well.)

The Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer is here and it looks pretty awesome >
