Stephen Colbert asked Pierce Brosnan what it's like to be a British icon and it was awkward
PIERCE BROSNAN WAS on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert Show last night.
(Well, technically, he was on last week. His interview only aired this week though).
Stephen was raving about him, saying:
Enlightening.
He also admitted that he’s obsessed with The Thomas Crown Affair – but then again, who isn’t?
It got a bit awkward later on though, when Pierce had to correct Stephen about where he was born.
Stephen began by saying: “I understand you grew up in a small town in Northern Ireland.”
Pierce was quick to quip back:
And then he went and asked him what it felt like to be a “British icon”.
Now, Stephen was referring to his accent (as he later explained) but it was still enough to make Pierce squirm.
Pierce explained his accent got “mangled way back there trying to fit in.”
Handled like a pro, Pierce.
