Stormzy, the legend, just paid for a fan to do her master's degree in Harvard
CLEARLY TAKING INSPIRATION from Nicki Minaj, rapper Stormzy has, in a lovely gesture, paid for a British fan to go to Harvard for her Master’s degree. Fiona Asiedu is a 21-year-old from London, in her final year of her undergrad in Experimental Psychology at Oxford.
She has been offered a place on a Master’s course in Human Development and Psychology at Harvard, beginning this August. However, until today, she had been struggling to fund the move (it totals at £59,000 – including tuition, rent, utilities, health, transportation etc).
Asiedu, who we can only imagine is extremely talented, managed to attain an external scholarship, leaving her with £12,000 to raise herself in only 4 weeks.
She set up a crowdfunder campaign to assist her in raising the money. With a bit of help from her friends, she was lucky enough to catch the attention of South London rapper Stormzy.

The rapper donated £9,000, pushing Fiona’s fund up to the £12,000 she needed, only 24 hours after beginning to fund-raise.
She was understandably overjoyed.

Twitter was extremely happy for her:
One of her friends even offered to take the rapper to Nando’s to say thanks.
Just last week Stormzy shared this adorable photo of himself having the “best day ever” when he finally got to meet Adele.
You really can’t help but love him.
