Supermac's was randomly mentioned on US TV show Scandal last night
THE QUINTESSENTIALLY IRISH fast food restaurant that is Supermac’s got a boost to its global brand last night, when its glorious name got mentioned on hit US show Scandal.
An episode of the political thriller was airing on Sky Living last night when the following outrageously Irish reference was heard:
The character, though, was referring to Super Max – as in super maximum security prison.
Still, all Irish viewers only had one thing on their mind
The episode was a re-run, so this delightful line had been spotted at the end of last year, when the episode originally aired.
The dialogue was perfect, though.
“I went to Supermac’s last night.”
“You… what?”
Given the shock in his voice, you would be forgiven for thinking she really was referring to the old chipper itself. Snack boxes for all.
