Well, you’re in luck. SuperValu in Lusk, Co Dublin is holding a speed dating event in the actual supermarket to mark Valentine’s Day.
Says the press release:
Shopping for your dinner, and a new partner, brings a healthy mix of passion and practicality to the normal grocery shop.

So how’s it going to work? Well, the event is run in association with dating events site GetOut.ie, and will operate as follows:
There will be dedicated ice breaker sections set up around the store, such as beer, wine, cheese and Signature Tastes sampling stations, allowing singles to interact and mingle. At the checkout area, participants confirm if details of interested suitors are to be exchanged.
The event takes place this Sunday. To register, go to the GetOut.ie website. And…
If you’re hoping for passion by the pasta or seduction among the soups, get down to Casey’s Supervalu in Lusk for a free dating night!
As one DailyEdge.ie staffer pointed out, SuperValu DID inherit a load of top-notch sausage from Superquinn last year…
