Terrible news - Aer Lingus has stopped selling Tayto sandwiches on board
LAST YEAR, AER Lingus delighted the nation by announcing that they would begin selling pre-packaged Tayto sandwiches on board.

It seemed as if plane food was finally getting the kick up the arse it needed – and yesterday, we discovered that Northern Ireland had followed suit by selling Nordie Tayto sandwiches on flights from Belfast. But perhaps it was all too good to be true.
Early this morning, a concerned reader alerted us to the fact that Tayto sandwiches are no longer available from the in-flight snack menu:
Could it be true? Could the dream of revolutionised plane food really be dashed already?
DailyEdge.ie contacted Aer Lingus for their side of the story – the airline told us that the sandwiches were not being sold on board “at the moment”, but that “all feedback is appreciated”.
Truly, it is a sad day for the Irish aviation industry. Please Aer Lingus, for the good of our health – reconsider!
