A TEACHER IS retiring after wearing the same outfit in his annual school photo for 40 years straight.

PE teacher Dale Irby wore a polyester shirt and brown tank-top for his first ever photo at his school in Richardson outside Dallas, Texas in 1973.

The next year, he accidentally sported the same outfit. “I was so embarrassed”, he told the Dallas Morning News. But his wife dared him to do it a third time. And a fourth. He added:

After five pictures, it was like: ‘Why stop?’

Irby said he can still button up the shirt “if I suck it in a little”.
